Trans-Siberian Orchestra

We saw Trans-Siberian Orchestra Sunday at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, OH MY GOODNESS! This show R-O-C-K ROCKS!!! Their take on Classical holiday music will have you head banging whether you like it or not! I'll add pics once I transfer them from my phone!!!

Van Halen, not a reunion???

I guess I can blog about it, they have ACTUALLY had a gig!
Van Halen Rocks Again.
Not that they are coming to my neck of the woods, but I still feel like it would be hard to top the Van Hagar tour we saw a few years ago.

I have been watching just avoiding the inevitable...

Rock of Love was on our TV set faithfully, if I missed it on the original air time I'd catch up during the week, the other 12 times they played it, some of them I have seen more than once.  Lacy falling off the bar, worth watching over & over, sorry, sucks to be that drunk, but funny to those who aren't!

So this Sunday is the "reunion" this should be like watching a train wreck & maybe we get to see what led to this... Over So Soon

I thought I had it called when on a fluke I checked the final 3 my space pages & Jes was listed as "taken".. so I figured after watching the final show I was right, but maybe not the relationship we were hoping...

Ah well, I guess it's hard to be a rock star & find a true girlfriend.  Wouldn't now personally never met a REAL rockstar!

A Thousand Shades of Cold- Undisputed

These guys ROCK! Bonus they are semi-local, out of Rochester NY. They have a song "String of Life" on their myspace that I just can't get out of my head.

Middle Earth Idols Pt. 1

this is long, but was really entertaining (and demonstrates my dorkiness!)

Finnish Idols 2007: Ari Koivunen - Here I Go Again

If there was anyone left on the US idol that could pull this off I might still be watching!

Easy Access...

To your horoscope that is!

I am not really a horoscope person but I often feel that reading past ones & what my personality are "supposed" to be like is a tad freakishly accurate!!! So finding the Starware Horoscope Toolbar was a great thing! It is a cool download for those of you who MUST know what your horoscope is before you start your day. You get one click access to your daily horoscope right from you Internet window. I know how big of a pain it is to get to mine which is somewhere on that page I set up... Now one click & there it is, in all it's freakishly accurate splendor. Letting me know that I am a Capricorn & there is NOTHING I can do about it.

Some cool features are that the toolbar even gives you toolbar search, auto search & related search as well as other regular features found in a toolbar.

I love that it has a built in weather button & areference button that keeps you one click away from an encyclopedia of information.

My new playlist

I found the link to Project Playlist during the Blog Party. It's hard to believe I've only had it for such a short time, but it is now every where!!! I even have it on myspace!

The selection is great, I have had some issues with songs not working after you check them, but they are hosted by others so....... Who Cares! I love that I can change the colors, shuffle the songs, even add like up to 70 songs. That would really mess with my computer!

FlipTrack Coolness!

Okay, so I was just introduced to the cool new website Flip Track it is a download that will allow you to add music to your pictures to create a video.

You can upload it to your website & everything! They have an okay music selection & even neat special effects & transitions you can use. Some of their tunes seem to be covers, but that's okay, as long as they are good! They seem to be working with Barenaked Ladies, so their stuff is original.

I did try to search for specific artists but the site wouldn't let me, kept sending me back to browse videos, even though I was searching music. Then, it is a BETA so I'm sure there are kinks to be worked out!

I'm not sure if I'll be downloading it yet, we still need to upgrade the RAM in the new puter & I am still trying to recover all my pictures...that said i will definitely be back once I'm up to speed!

Van Halen in the news again

Ok, I am all for self improvement but come on... After all the fan support over the years & they weren't even planning on attending the Hall of Fame ceremony & the tease of the possible tour now off (postponed, called off)... I can't take it!

At least Sammy says he'll be there with former bassist Michael Anthony & expects David Lee Roth to be there as well. In an interview by Joel Selvin, Chronicle Senior Pop Music Critic SAMMY Post-Van Halen, Hagar's been riding high on his own tequila. Now comes rock enshrinement. Hagar gives a witty look into his post Van Halen life & current business ventures.

I'll admit it, I am a Sammy fan, I liked their music better, but that could be because that was on the radio more when I was younger. I think prior to my discovery of a classic rock radio station I had only ever heard Jump & Panama. So I am biased, plus Dreams is like my favorite chill out song. But dudes, we love your music (except for the gary thing, but all was forgiven with your reunion tour in 2004)

All I have to say is this... I have worked with plenty of people I don't like. You suck it up for the pay check...if you don't want the pay check then you quit. You don't walk around saying that you are best buds & gonna do great things. I don't think any reasonable fan expects the band to get along. WE DON'T CARE, just tour!!! I need a reason for a date with my dh...

At Van Halen News there is a brief very ambiguous statement from Ed Van Halen about him checking himself into rehab. He doesn't say for what, just that he is. I wish him a speedy recovery from whatever problem he has.

An a way cooler note...Velvet Revolver gets to induct Van Halen & will be preforming a medley of Van Halen music. I wish I could go, I wish they'd have the ceremony at the Hall of Fame, Cleveland is way closer than NYC is...

Van Halen - NEWS

Hall of Fame Press Room

"The 2007 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, R.E.M., The Ronettes, Patti Smith and Van Halen were chosen by the 600 voters of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. Artists are eligible for inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after their first recording is released. "

YESSSSS!!!! Van Halen WoooHooo!!

Add that to the Van Halen "Reunion" with David Lee Roth and I am one excited fan!

Ok, so no M. Anthony, not sure I feel comfortable watching a 15 year old on stage... and goodness knows if they will make it past rehersals but THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE!!!

Almost Fitting....

Your Theme Song is Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd

"There is no pain, you are receding.
A distant ships smoke on the horizon.
You are only coming through in waves."

You haven't been feeling a lot lately, and you think that's a good thing.
The comfortable part is nice... but you should really work on numb.

How American Are you???

I wasn't suprised by this, I know I don't ooze red white & blue, but I feel patriotic most of the time. Still tend to drink Canadian Beer though sorry!

You Are 80% American

You're as American as red meat and shooting ranges.

Tough and independent, you think big.

You love everything about the US, wrong or right.

And anyone who criticizes your home better not do it in front of you!

Happy New Year!!

Hope you all had a safe & fun New Years Eve!!! Now the seriousness begins, "resolutions", ewww. I am calling them goals!
